Contrary
to a day care, Jungle Gym’s Toddler Academy is an
educational-based program with all of our activities geared
toward your child’s healthy development. Our low
teacher-child ratio allows us to give your child special
attention and focus on his/her individual needs. We work on
gross motor skills, arts and crafts, reading, writing
skills, music, sensory stimulation, and much more! Our
emphasis is on the development of skills that will give your
child a solid foundation in emotional, physical and
intellectual growth. We work on positive self-esteem,
confidence, creativity and imagination, and the desire to
learn.

All our activities have specific purposes. We sing songs
that give children a sense of identity. We sing fun educational songs that
teach them. We sing and play with instruments while promoting body movement,
rhythm, coordination and balance. During our play time, we work on gross motor
skills, physical development, social skills, self esteem and safety awareness.

We learn the importance of hygiene and personal care, and develop
healthy habits. We learn to relax and pay attention while we let our
imagination run during story time. We learn to focus on objects’ properties and
characteristics, analyze, compare and identify. We explore in the sensory room.
We learn colors, numbers, letters, and more; we exercise our creativity and
imagination with hands-on arts and crafts projects; we learn to follow
direction and pay attention; and we learn about cause and consequence effect.

Our program focuses on nourishment and closeness. We value
the importance of a healthy self esteem, safety, social skills, discipline,
order, following directions and attention development. We want children to view
school as a positive experience; we want them to feel school is good. That’s
why Jungle Gym's Toddler Academy provides young children with a unique educational learning experience that will prepare them
for their following school years and make the transition much easier. |
